Two loves of Theo.
Construction happening on our corner has provided us with a bit of entertainment lately. “They fill up with dirt and then dump it in the BIG truck!”. That is what they are up to. Not sure what they are digging the giant hole for but, nonetheless, they are. And Theo is front row to catch a peek. As soon as we saw it he said (with a gasp), “from the book!”. I never thought I’d be so excited to see construction trucks and fire trucks in my whole life.
We wandered over to the library to take out some new books. Theo caught wind of the escalator so I promised some rides once we checked out our books. It was a fun, indoor activity for us, actually. He would go up the escalator and then walk boldly down the big stairs only to go back up the escalator again. I didn’t bother leading him to the other side where the down escalator is located. I figured this would do just fine. He is always, always proud of him doing it all by himself and we stayed until he was ready to go outside and press the button on the handicapped door a few times. Then it was off to run around Grand Army Plaza a bit and then head home. We had a really nice Monday morning. Days like this make me super happy.

So glad it’s warmed up there enough to do some outdoor play! Wish we could get some big trucks to come fix the sinkhole in front of our driveway. Theo could come supervise!
